Four Grade 6 school boys have come together to collect unused sports kits for children at underprivileged schools in South Africa.

Ross Garrett, Azaan Khan, Cameron O’Neill and Michael Adamson have teamed up to make a difference in underprivileged communities.

The four boys decided to collect old and second-hand sporting equipment that can be sent to underprivileged children, schools and sporting clubs. They started collecting takkies and sports shoes, racquets, bats, hockey sticks, golf clubs, gloves and balls.

They have set up a collection point at their school, Bryanston Primary School.

“Just a group of Jozi boys, looking to make a difference in the lives of sport-loving kids who aren’t in a position to kit themselves out.” – Paul Nixon

Once they receive the donations, they look for deserving schools and individuals to send the items to. The boys have requested that schools in need come forward and let them know that they need help, that way the boys can start collecting for the schools on their list.

While they are happy to accept any donations, they have asked that the items are clean and in good condition. You can assist the boys by getting in contact with Paul Nixon on their Facebook page here.
