This is how the people of New York treat the first responders who stood tall in the face of terror and ran toward the danger.

As it happens over and over again whenever the world is confronted with tragedy or terror, small acts of kindness by everyday people offer up a sort of karmic balance.

Just over 3 days ago, a blast shook the heart of Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood – that same neighborhood would show the will and resolve of the people who live here remain unbroken.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are still delving into the explosion in Chelsea on Saturday night that injured 29 people.

Knight News witnessed one particular act of kindness, and the video of the encounter is now going viral with over 19 million views… and counting.

A man named Germaine in the video approached a group of NYPD police officers and FDNY EMTs, thanked them for their service, and handed them large bags full of Starbucks pastries, drinks, and more as they stood post following the blast.
