As transport continued to pose a problem for the SPCA Midrand, good news soon pulled up on the team’s driveway! Thanks to a Good Samaritan, the SPCA squad have been able to purchase a brand new vehicle that will undoubtedly help so many animals in the area, in need:
Midrand, South Africa (10 April 2024) — In a big dose of good news for the SPCA Midrand worth hooting for, the team of animal heroes have welcomed a very special gift thanks to a donor who wanted to remain behind the scenes—enough money to purchase brand new vehicle!
This gift couldn’t have come at a better time for the SPCA Midrand who share that they have been battling with transport options to reach all the animals who need them.
Not only will the brand new vehicle play an imperative role in increasing the amount of call outs and inspectorate missions the SPCA Midrand can undertake, it also drives home the message that acts of kindness (especially at this magnitude) can have incredible ripple effects of good; it’s not one act of big kindness, but thousands to come for all the animals whose lives speedy and reliable transport will help benefit.
The SPCA Midrand shared that the vehicle has been kitted out with the SPCA’s branding and a new tracker thanks to other wholesome individuals doing their part for the betterment of animal lives.
Meanwhile, in other good news with animals at the ‘pawfront’, tough as nails SPCA hero Sarah Van Heerden is hot on the trail of positive change and recently set out on a 1600km journey via her trusty bicycle, all in hopes that the trek will raise much-needed funds for the Kloof and Highway SPCA.
