History has been made! Tshego Gaelae has officially been crowned Mrs World, bringing a wave of pride across South Africa. Not only is she the first South African to take the title in nearly a decade, but she’s also the first Black woman ever to wear the Mrs World crown.
Johannesburg, South Africa (05 February 2025) – From Soweto to Vegas to the world! Tshego Gaelae has made history, bringing immense pride to South Africa by being crowned the 40th Mrs. World!
She’s not only the first South African to win the international pageant in nine years but also the first Black woman ever to claim the title since its inception 40 years ago. Talk about iconic!
In a country where many women face significant challenges in finding and using their voices, we are easily inspired by Tshego’s achievements.
She stands as a powerful example that any young woman’s dreams are valid and worth pursuing, regardless of her appearance, culture, or hailing from a humble background. The attorney turned inspiring pageant queen boldly and proudly demonstrates that it is possible to overcome obstacles and make one’s dreams a reality.
