1.2 Million people agree that this must-watch viral video said in few words what so many women think when asked ‘do women even have hobbies’? Have a look:

Global (5 April, 2023) — The internet (and all its weird and wonderful avenues) sometimes feels like a giant microscope. Sometimes the microscope shows us beautiful things that would otherwise be hidden. Sometimes, it reminds us that other people have a little (or a lot) of learning to do. Case in point, the ‘do women have hobbies?’ viral video(s).

We won’t get into the politics of why many people have found the question sexist over the years (in 2023 especially, it speaks for itself). What we will get into, is how one user responded and settled whatever lingering questions anyone had about women’s hobbies once and for all.

The viral video shared by @prariefairy didn’t use a single harsh word. No ugliness and no hate were involved in the making of this masterpiece. Instead, it decided to answer the question in a beautiful way.

Videos from around the world were stitched together to make something of a collage of women doing the things they love. Call them hobbies, passion projects, or moments of joy. Watching it felt like flipping through a scrapbook of all the women in your life doing things they love. Some are aspirational. Others, relatable. All are smile-worthy.

@prariefairy to me this is the most ridiculous thought that someone could have but women do a lot more than just lighting candles. these men have clearly never had a proper conversation with a woman where they’ve treated her as human. anyways this is my attempt at a core core/ hope core type of video 🙂 #corecore #hopecore #dowomenhavehobbies #hobbies #feminism #filmtok #reading #womeninstem ♬ green to blue – slowed + reverbed – daniel.mp3
