A Beerhouse waitress was tipped over R18,000.00 after giving brilliant service to an anonymous woman who believes in her dreams. WOW!
Fourways, Johannesburg – A waitress at a popular bar in Fourways, Johannesburg received the most incredible tip to date. Going about her job, as usual, she never dreamed that a bill of R1,320.00 would get her the tip of a lifetime.
Addy* served her table with pride as she always does, but this time it was very different. The patron, who wishes to remain anonymous, was very impressed.
The anonymous patron asked for the bill and rounded it up to a total of R20,000.00. Addy was left in shock, so much so that she called her manager to help her convince the woman that it was a mistake to pay so much. But due to there conversations over the evening, the patron was insistent on paying the amount.
Addy and the patron had struck up conversation throughout the evening, and this was when she learned that Addy had always dreamt of becoming a paramedic. She never got her chance due to financial constraints.
This deeply moved the Patron. She was inspired by Addy, and that is what led her to pay it forward. Randolf Jorberg, the owner of Beerhouse, spoke with the woman to confirm that the tip was made with a sound mind. She reiterated that she definitely intended to stick with her decision.

Beerhouse confirmed that Addy has big dreams to use this money to go back to school.
“She had to start working at a young age due to financial constraints when she was growing up. She was only eight months old when her parents got divorced which left her family in a tough financial situation. She wasn’t able to get to school because her mom was always working and didn’t complete her Matric.” – Beerhouse
According to the popular franchise, Addy plans to attend night classes in Alexandria to complete her Matric. She has already started the process of getting her drivers licence.
This once-off good deed has changed a life and brightened a future. Addy has since spoken with her generous tipper and promised to use it all for good.
The patron said, “Promise me you’ll use that money for good! I left it for you because I believe in you, I want you to succeed!!! Go study, be a badass woman, and when you make it, promise me you’ll remember this and help the next person.”
Addy promised and said she would use the money to make all her dreams come true!
