Mia-Lee

Little Mia-Lee, a brave five-year-old who battled Stage 4 Neuroblastoma cancer, has received wonderful news! After a recent health scare, tests have confirmed that she remains cancer-free, giving her the green light to start school!

Johannesburg, South Africa (19 January 2025) – It’s easy to take good health for granted until illness strikes, reminding us of the preciousness of a functioning mind and body. This is a harsh reality that little Mia-Lee, diagnosed with stage 4, high-risk Neuroblastoma cancer at just 17 months old, knows all too well.

Mia-Lee, affectionately known as the “Warrior Princess“, has been through a tough and turbulent journey battling this formidable disease.

While she successfully overcame cancer last year, a recent health scare involving her liver function raised concerns about a potential relapse. Following a series of complex tests and a period of anxious waiting, the family received the joyous news a few days ago that Mia-Lee remains cancer-free, a blessing her parents couldn’t be more grateful for.

This week marked another emotionally heartwarming moment for the five-year-old fighter who started school this week, doing Grade 0!

“This is a significant milestone for her, and we know that with your love and support, she will continue to thrive,” her parents thanked in a post.

Mia-Lee’s bravery and unwavering spirit are truly touching and inspire us to reflect on how delicate life is and the importance of cherishing every “normal” and “special” moment it presents.
