While getting the makeover, the 30-year-old South African explained that this wasn’t always her life. Helena had a good job and an inheritance, but the cards were not stacked in her favour. Things did not go as planned and she was left with almost nothing, now spending her days on the streets to survive.

Johannesburg, South Africa (04 July 2022) – Ryno Mulder, a talented makeup artist from Johannesburg, is bringing all the feels with this heartwarming makeover!

Ryno had often seen Helana de Wet and would give her money or food whenever he could. A couple of days ago, Helana asked Ryno about his hair and makeup – she was curious as to why “he always looked so good”. Ryno explained that he was a makeup artist and, while talking, realised he could use his skills to give her the makeover she deserved.

Helana was thrilled with the offer and couldn’t wait to have a pamper day.

While getting the makeover, the 30-year-old South African explained that this wasn’t always her life. Helana had a good job and an inheritance, but the cards were not stacked in her favour. Things did not go as planned, and she was left with almost nothing, now spending her days on the streets to survive. She spoke candidly about how difficult it was to leave her children in another city so they wouldn’t have to live like her and, more than anything, not be embarrassed by her circumstances.

It’s a tragic story but one that is touching the hearts of everyone who has seen it.

“Wow… That is amazing. Tears are rolling. Thank you for giving her a smile.” – Erika Parkes

“Wow blown away! Incredible such a massive act of love and kindness and I’m sure through this hopefully she can have her life and dignity restored by people seeing her as a human being instead of someone on the side of the road begging.” – Natalie Beveridge

“That is such a beautiful story! Thank you Ryno for making her feel so beautiful and special.” – Janine Cheryl Le Roux

Ryno loved doing the makeover for Helana and is hoping that the video might get this gorgeous South African a second chance at life. Click here to get in touch with Ryno, or click here to help Helana in any way.
