An anonymous student spent 5 months creating Origami hearts with handwritten notes, to share with the 1500 students in their school on Valentine’s Day.
Ohio, United States of America (17 February 2017) – We know Valentine’s Day has long passed but this story is filled with such thoughtful kindness it is too good to ignore. It speaks of a good deed and how the person who did the deed didn’t want recognition and only wanted to spread love.
Every person should feel loved, especially on Valentine’s Day. An anonymous student at the Troy High School in Ohio, America spent 5 months making over 1500 origami hearts with the note “You are Loved” handwritten on it.
The student then went and stuck an origami heart on every single locker in the school so that the next day when the students came to school they would have a Valentine reminding them that somebody loves them.
“An anonymous student made it their mission to make sure not a single one felt lonely on Valentine’s day. In a stunning act of kindness, the student prepared colourful origami hearts for all of their peers, and taped one to every locker lining the school’s hallways.”
Troy High School is aware who the anonymous learner is but they are honouring the students wish to keep their identity secret.
“This person has been secretly storing them in their closet at home to surprise everyone today.”
A number of students from other schools across America did the same thing, some leaving personalised notes on each school locker, some leaving a lollypop and some leaving a small flower.
“In a world where kindness can sometimes seem faded beyond recognition, these young people proved that it doesn’t take much to uplift those around you.”
