Brad Binder has earned another podium at the Austrian MotoGP, raising the bottle from P2 and solidifying his reign on the KTM home track.

Austria (21 August 2023) – It has been a birthday week of note for South Africa’s Brad Binder. The 28-year-old South African MotoGP rider has signed an extended contract with his team KTM and gone on to earn them a podium position in their home country of Austria. It is safe to say, celebrations within the Binder/KTM team were notched up a bit this weekend with so many memorable moments to toast to.

Not only did Binder push for a P2 placing this weekend, but he also avoided a big crash in the sprint and managed to place second in that race too!

Binder, who signed a contract extension to remain with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing until the end of 2026 earlier in the weekend, comfortably outpaced third-placed Marco Bezzecchi to claim his second podium of the year. Silverstone being his first, where he earned 3rd.

He took to his social pages to share his pride in his team for the hard work they put into getting him and his bike ready for the track.

“I came here with the plan to win of course but 2 x seconds and a front-row… I’ll take it! 😁 A few late nights for my team trying to get those last little tweaks sorted so I can’t thank them enough for the bike they gave me today. Congrats to Pecco, he didn’t put a foot wrong today. It’s been a weekend I’ll never forget infront of my home away from home. Thanks for the support and see you in Barcelona”

It is safe to say Brad is on his way to the top. With his continued hard work, dedication and team spirit, we have every faith he will get there. We look forward to seeing what happens in Barcelona so stay tuned!
