Brad Binder raced like a true professional this weekend while taking part in the Tissot Sprint; starting at the back of the grid, he outmanoeuvred his competitors to take the podium!

Argentina (02 April 2023) – Brad Binder stunned crowds during the Tissot Sprint in Argentina this weekend by going from the back of the grid to first place. The incredible race has left Moto GP fans sending in their praises and pushes Binder even higher up the fan favourites rankings.

For the fourth year in a row, Brad Binder is one of the KTM RC16 riders in the company’s MotoGP tilt for success. The 27-year-old South African scored KTM’s maiden MotoGP victory in the Czech Republic in 2020 and was KTM’s highest-ranked rider in 2022 with 6th position in the standings and podium results at both the opening Grand Prix of the year (Qatar) and the closer (Valencia).

Now nine seasons in the Red Bull KTM family, Binder is recognised as one of the most determined and efficient racers on the MotoGP grid. That became clear during the Tissot Sprint that left us all in awe!

In his post-race interview, Brad shared that he even surprised himself with the manoeuvring.

“I surprised myself a little bit there, what a start! I got super tight in turn one and just tried to hug the inside,”

“And then just one at a time. I tried to say, ‘OK, if I go to the front and I fight like hell, there’s a good chance I can maybe stay there’. So the plan worked out perfectly.”
