From Lenasia to London! The Human family is rallying behind 10-year-old Razzeen as he chases his football dream, and they are inviting the wider community to play a part in making it happen.

Lenasia, South Africa (06 October 2025)- Opportunities don’t come around every day,  and when they do, they must be grabbed with both hands. That is exactly what 10-year-old Razzeen Human from Lenasia is doing. A dedicated footballer with big dreams, Razzeen has been selected to take part in the UK Football Scholarship Showcase in June 2026, a global stage where scouts and professional coaches search for the next generation of stars.

Currently playing for HoLa Skoko Football Academy, Razzeen has already shown the discipline that sets him apart. His selection is a personal triumph and a moment that could inspire many young players across South Africa to believe that their own dreams are within reach.

For his mother, Ladonna Human, the opportunity represents something far bigger than football.

“We believe that supporting young talents not only benefits the individual but also contributes to the broader development of sports in South Africa. This opportunity would be an inspiration to his peers and could open doors for further opportunities in sports both locally and internationally.”

To help make this dream a reality, the family has been raising funds through a BackaBuddy campaign. The total cost of the trip is R65,000. So far, R4,700 has been raised, and they are still seeking support to cover the balance. Rather than seeing the fundraising as a hurdle, they view it as a chance for more people to play a part in backing a young South African talent.

Razzeen’s journey has been shaped by the HoLa Skoko Academy, founded in 2017 with the belief that “develop first, and winning will come naturally.” The academy has provided him with the skills that can now carry him to this international stage.

With his talent, family support, and community behind him, Razzeen is ready to take his shot. This UK Showcase could be the first step in a football journey that inspires his peers.
