Cape Town, South Africa (12 July 2024) – Michael Mutombo was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo but today, is following his dreams of becoming a rugby star for South Africa. The talented young player shares his inspiring story in a new documentary series called “My Next Chapter“.

My Next Chapter is a passion project of videographer and photographer Ewald Sadie. He has compiled his talents to take on this next chapter in his career by producing and directing the new series.

The docu-series is about the positive effect sport can have on an individual’s life. Even more so on an individual that has had to overcome many hurdles and lived through many chapters to achieve success or establish a brighter future.

The focus is on real people, with real stories. Ewald hopes this pilot episode will lead way to a series of 6 episodes, where one can meet more individuals with inspiring stories in sport.

“In this heartfelt and motivating video, we dive into the story of Michael Mutombo, a rugby player who has overcome many challenges on his path to success. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Michael and his family left their home country when he was just a child, seeking a safer and brighter future.
