Nhlanhla Soccer Camp Initiative Kyle Koert

Kyle Koert has travelled a long way from his home in South Africa to sign a deal with the Columbus Rapids where he hopes to further his international soccer career.

 

Georgia, United States of America (08 November 2022) – South African Kyle Koert is a talented soccer player who has now been signed to the Columbus Rapids of Georgia. This international opportunity is one filled with promise and will mean Kyle can explore the sport at an international level.

America’s love of soccer grows annually so they are investing time and resources to find the best talents globally. South African coach Rafique Hassim has also joined the team, to help guide them to victory. Hassim plans to get the team ready and winning; then, when the time is right, he will return to South Africa.

The team plays within the National Indoor Soccer League which is growing in popularity. The league is currently made up of teams from Georgia, North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee.

“Koert is a dynamic attacker who is comfortable wearing either the 10, 9, or 7 jersey. He can play as a striker, behind the striker, or as a winger.”

Koert joins the team after playing for the Orlando Pirates Fives, Baberwa FC and the Pretoria Amateurs FC. He also represented South Africa at the World Youth Cup, earning the title of top scorer for the tournament. He is a well-loved player and we are over the moon about his new opportunity.

Koert is thankful for all the support he has had in his career so far that has led to this opportunity. He shared his thanks when the team announced his signing.
