South Africa’s Lloyd Harris will be facing Christopher Eubanks this afternoon in the semi-finals at the Mallorca Championships in Spain.
Spain (30 June 2023) – 24-year-old Lloyd Harris is playing his heart out in Spain at the Mallorca Championships. As South Africa’s top-ranking tennis player, he hopes to play his way through Spain and set his sights on his ultimate goal in Wimbledon.
Lloyd Harris played alongside Raven Klaasen at Roland Garros but sadly they were defeated in the doubles first round by the Spanish pairing of Roberto Carballés Baena and Jaume Munar.
Harris came back for a victory at the Mallorca Championships in Spain. He has been playing really well in the men’s singles making his way through the preliminary rounds and onto the quarterfinals.
“Harris, who had to endure an extended absence from the circuit in the latter half of 2022 due to wrist surgery, has made a remarkable comeback. The Capetonian came through the qualifying rounds to secure a spot in the main draw of the ATP 250-level grass court tournament, which acts as a preparatory event leading up to Wimbledon.” – Tennis South Africa
Facing Pavel Kotov in the quarterfinals, Harris has set his sights on the semifinals taking place on the afternoon of the 30th of June 2023 at 15:30 pm.
