Excitement for the Netball World Cup, being hosted in South Africa, is brewing as the team went to London to pick up the World Cup Trophy.
London, United Kingdom (24 May 2023) – There are just over 65 days left until the Netball World Cup kicks off in South Africa. Excitement is brewing and to keep the ball rolling, Netball South Africa’s President Cecilia Molokwane and CEO Blanche de la Guerre visited London to go pick up the World Cup Trophy.
The 2023 Netball World Cup will be hosted in Cape Town at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Over the years, the country has proven itself worthy of hosting massive international sporting events.
The South African squad has been named and the other countries will all be doing the same, training hard in the leadup to this massive event.
Cecilia Molokwane and Blanche de la Guerre visited the South African High Commission in London to receive the trophy from the British delegation. It will now be brought back to South Africa where 16 countries will compete to win it.
