South African junior tennis aces recently earned gold after gold at a tennis championship in Namibia and won the overall junior team as well as all the bragging rights!
Windhoek, Namibia (20 January 2025) – The South African junior teams who participated in the ITF/CAT Southern Africa Individual Championships in Namibia earlier this month absolutely shot the lights out! Beyond being on a roll with gold medals, the junior aces also earned the biggest team victory of all!
Windhoek saw all the action as the South African junior squads (under-14 and under-16 boys and girls teams) competed against other countries vying for top spots.
Our junior aces went on to bask in a healthy dose of victory, earning four gold medals!
But, beyond the medals, the juniors also went on to claim all the bragging rights upon homecoming when they won the overall Junior Team Trophy.
With these prizes in tow, the youngsters have welcomed hard-earned congratulations and shout-outs from South African tennis fans, Tennis South Africa, and Team South Africa.
