Johannesburg’s Steyn City will host Africa’s first-ever LIV Golf tournament in March 2026, bringing world-class players and festival vibes.

For the very first time, the world-famous LIV Golf League will tee off on African soil, and the honour of hosting this debut belongs to Johannesburg’s breathtaking Steyn City from 20 to 22 March 2026.
It is a huge moment for local sport. True to LIV Golf’s global reputation, the event will be more than just a tournament. LIV Golf has already taken its high-energy tournaments across the globe, lighting up courses and thrilling fans with its festival-like vibes. LIV Golf is known for blending golf with entertainment. Now, the global stage comes to Mzansi, proving once again that when it comes to hosting world-class events, South Africa knows how to deliver.
Steyn City is not just any golf course; it is a natural wonderland where impalas and porcupines usually roam. In 2026, it will welcome the best golfers in the world, all chasing glory on its championship course designed by Nicklaus Design.
Adding even more excitement for local fans, South Africa’s own Stinger GC will be in the spotlight. Led by 2010 Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen, and joined by Dean Burmester, Branden Grace, and 2011 Masters winner Charl Schwartzel, the team will be hunting victory on home turf.
