Ryan has run the Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run a total of 5 times and this was his first win! He came second in the grueling trail race in 2012.
He is such a great sportsman that he made sure to be at the finish line at the 30 hour cut off to support the last runner and see them cross the finish line.
South Africa is proud! Well done on your massive achievement Ryan!
