Joburg’s Verushka Singh Takes Mrs South Africa Crown

South Africa has found its new Mrs! Verushka Singh has taken the crown.

 

Johannesburg, South Africa (17 November 2025) – The pageant’s grand finale, hosted at Emperors Palace in Kempton Park, saw former queen Erin-Jane Miller hand her crown over to Verushka Singh, a 39-year-old climate change consultant who lives in Steyn City.

Verushka is the first Indian South African to be crowned Mrs South Africa.

“We’re thrilled to have broken that barrier, and celebrate the significance of this milestone,” shared the organisation.

She takes her title alongside Carika Bebb, Mrs South Africa 1st Princess and Mrs South Africa Globe 2026 and Talitha Oosthuizen, Mrs South Africa 2nd Princess.

“As your new Mrs South Africa, I aim to use my platform to inspire awareness and meaningful conversations around climate change and sustainable living. I believe in living purposefully, staying connected to nature, and nurturing the balance between personal growth, family, and the planet we all share,” shared Singh, after receiving the crown.

Singh earned her degree in chemical engineering from Wits and now works as a climate change consultant. Looking out for the planet is one of her biggest priorities.

“I am passionate about climate change and sustainability, and I’m committed to advancing solutions that promote environmental resilience and responsible development,” she says.

Singh and her spouse, Sasha, have been married for nine years. They’re parents to nine-year-old Zach.

Outside of her passions for making a difference on the planet, Mrs South Africa enjoys family time and activities that keep her soul fed.

“I enjoy spending quality time exploring with Zach, practicing meditation, and engaging in soulful activities that keep me grounded and centred,” she says.
