A BIG load of nappies, lotions, soaps and baby food recently found its way to the New Life Baby House, all thanks to the young learners and school community of Winston Park Junior Primary, who were moved to give vulnerable little ones the care and support they deserve.
Hillcrest, South Africa (31 August 2026) – When children are able to give back and pour into the lives of little ones less fortunate than themselves, the impact is heartwarming as it is profound.
This best captures the initiative that recently rallied the young learners of Winston Park Junior Primary to collect essential items for the babies at New Life Baby House, a safe haven for abandoned and vulnerable children.
After learning how the Baby House provides a safe, nurturing home for babies in crisis while working in partnership with social workers and child protection services, learners returned home to tell their parents and families, sparking a chain reaction of heartfelt generosity.
Soon enough, a big load of nappies, wipes, lotions, soaps and baby food had been collected by the Winston Park community and was recently handed over to the grateful founders of New Life Baby House, Tanya and Roger Tedder.
“We are absolutely overwhelmed by the amazingly generous donations that have come in from Winston Park Junior Primary,” they said.
The Tedders expressed their heartfelt gratitude to every parent, learner, teacher and family member who contributed to this incredible donation, beautifully becoming part of the village helping raise children in love and safety.
“Your generosity means more than you know and will make such a beautiful difference in the lives of the little ones at our baby home. It is so special to see a community come together to bless and care for babies who need it most. Every single item donated is a reminder that these precious little lives are loved, valued and cared for. We are so incredibly grateful!”
We often hear that children are a blessing. But in special moments like these, when they go out of their way to bless, serve and look out for those even younger than themselves, we can’t help but stand in absolute awe. Well done, Winston Park!
