Dr Khamini Singh dedicated her 50th birthday to 50 kilometres of kindness, all for Gift of the Givers! Thanks to the support for her birthday gift, she rallied triple the funds expected.

South Africa (14 August, 2023) — As Dr Khamini Singh’s 50th birthday approached, she decided to do something special to celebrate the important existence milestone. Dr Singh signed up to tackle 50 kilometres of kindness to honour her 50 years; dedicating the funds raised to Gift of the Givers.

Her campaign began a little over a month ago with Dr Singh hoping to raise R10 000.

However, when her 50th birthday came around yesterday (13 August) Dr Singh woke up to a wealth of support. Instead of the R10 000 she had initially rallied to raise, the funds sourced had tripled!

Dr Singh raised R30 312 in total for the Givers who tackle all kinds of disaster relief efforts around the country and in various parts of the world.

“I am driven by the desire to make a difference, which is why I’ve chosen to support this exceptional organization on my special day,” shared Dr Singh.

“I believe that one person’s dedication can ignite positive change in the world,” she added.

Gift of the Givers is always up to good, and recently their touch was felt in Mpumalanga where they gave away 440 food parcels, blankets and clothes in Lowscreek village before heading off to the Bread of Life Rehabilitation centre to share more winter warmer packs.

Dr Singh’s efforts and 50kms of kindness will help make more missions of good possible, and what a way to celebrate 50 trips around the sun.
