Eco-conscious cyclists, it’s time to shine! Nature Connect is on the search for its champion fleet, which will participate in the Cape Town Cycle Tour’s 42km stretch! Here’s what epic environmental efforts those riding will be supporting

Cape Town, South Africa (19 January 2025) — Earlier this week, we put out the call for cyclists keen to use their legs of steel for good to join the SANParks Honorary Rangers Squad. Though spots were few, we have more good news: there’s a chance to cycle for nature on another team too, this time for Nature Connect! Eco-conscious cyclists, it’s time to shine.

Nature Connect will be partaking in the Cape Town Cycle Tour’s Cycle for a Change initiative for the first time and they are on the search for its champions.

They have 10 charity entries available for eco-conscious cyclists who are just itching to use their favourite activity as a means to make a difference.

By riding for Nature Connect in the Cape Town Cycle Challenge on 9 March, you will also be riding for all the good things that the non-profit does.

Nature Connect provides environmental education and outdoor experiences to thousands of under-resourced children in Cape Town (over 188,000 children to date) and has upskilled over 500 young people to act in the best interest of our shared home, the Earth.

Those looking to join the fleet can purchase an entry from the organisation by emailing Kelly at donations@natureconnect.earth.

What You’re In For:

  • 42kms of cycling through Cape Town’s gorgeous landscapes
  • A minimum fundraising amount of R1,000
  • A cause that’ll make you one of the coolest cyclists on the road

Nature Connect will help with every step of the fundraising journey—from guidance to setting up fundraising campaigns to spotlighting your efforts on social media.
