What began as a solo mission four years ago, with Lovemore personally picking up litter, has evolved into the Live Life Always NPO, employing 15 individuals and spearheading large-scale cleanups across Johannesburg.
Johannesburg, South Africa (22 January 2025) – Born from Lovemore Robson’s deep passion for a clean environment, the Live Life Always NPO (Lovemore Foundation) has become a steady movement in the fight against carelessly discarded waste, striving to create a greener future for all.
In an interview with Good Things Guy, Lovemore’s enthusiasm shone brightly as he shared his journey of starting voluntary cleanups four years ago. Instead of ignoring the waste and litter around him, he chose to take action and make a positive change.
“When we started it was just two of us cleaning up areas with a lot of litter such as taxi ranks or in communities that had issues of illegal dumping.
“We’d take before and after pictures of the area when we were done and share them on social media so that we could get more exposure of what we were doing and get more support from the public,” he recounts.
He has extended this work to full clean-ups including weeds, bushes, trees, grass and anything else that is needed to clear up an area identified in and around Johannesburg.

“We started as two guys and now there are 15 guys who work with me. The foundation works tirelessly to clean up the environment and has also created work opportunities,” says Lovemore.
Lovemore has also tried to educate his community about the damaging effects of litter, although no response has always been forthcoming. But he remains undeterred as he has made it his personal mission to pick up any bit of litter or trash in his path, even if he has to return to the same spot time and time again.
“This is our job for life. This work is not going to end, or at least not anytime soon. It’s difficult but I will not get tired of doing clean-ups.
“We will go anywhere that we are needed. Hopefully, in the future, we can also go as far as the Eastern Cape of KwaZulu-Natal,” he shared enthusiastically.
The Live Life Always NPO welcomes support from the public through donations and by spreading awareness of their impactful work.
