This is the story of Lethiwe Ngobese and her daughter Thembelihle. Lethiwe did everything in her power to make sure that her daughter could pursue her dreams, including putting her own dreams on hold.
“After Matric, I told her I wouldn’t go to University. But she insisted I find a college no matter what the cost…”, “I didn’t know how she was going to do that on a maids salary” – Thembelihle Ngobese
Lethiwe had dreamed of being a nurse but ended up working in a restaurant to support her daughter.
“When Thembi told me she wanted to be a nurse, I was surprised! I never told her, but I also wanted to be a nurse growing up”
“Thembi is the first person to study nursing in our entire extended family”
Thembi took her mother to her nursing school to show her exactly what opportunity her mother had given her. Lethiwe is filled with pride, seeing her daughter helping people of the community.
That is where Ariel stepped in. They wanted to help Thembi celebrate her mother for making the impossible, possible!
