Five days after making a surprise return with lemon mousse and unmissable laughs, Suzelle DIY has dropped another video and it’s a total glow-up.

South Africa (26 June 2025) – Just five days after bursting back onto our screens with lemons, mousse, and a good old dollop of chaos, South Africa’s favourite DIY darling has returned with another deliciously quirky video.

This time, she’s not in the kitchen; Suzelle is outside, hose in hand, transforming her “ugly” courtyard into a dazzling DIY dreamscape. But that’s not even the best part… because Marianne is back. Kind of. Sort of. She’s there. But also not. Look, you’re just going to have to watch the video to make sense of it.

The video is equal parts practical and hilarious. You’ll learn how to freshen up your outdoor space using some tools, a handmade stencil and paint, all while being serenaded by the soft hum of her relentless optimism.

“I want to also be your BFF,” one fan gushed in the comments. “Gorgeous glow-up, Suzelle! When is the courtyard-warming party?” asked another.

Honestly, we’d all like an invite.

It’s only been a few days since her “Lemon Mousse” comeback, a surprise drop that had everyone shouting “Omg! Suzelle is back!” and remembering just how much we missed her glittery glue gun energy. And now she’s reminding us that even the dullest corners of our homes can sparkle again with a bit of love (and a blast from a leafblower).

Suzelle DIY is the iconic brainchild of actress and comedian Julia Anastasopoulos, the woman who turned hot glue and how-tos into national entertainment. She’s been making us laugh for years, whether she’s teaching us how to “Survive Loadshedding” or simply giving a plant pot a new lease on life.

While Suzelle has been mostly offline for the last couple of months, Julia’s been keeping the creativity flowing with her other alter-ego Tali, from “Tali’s Wedding Diary” to “Tali’s Joburg Diary”, and has appeared in critically acclaimed series like The Shakedown. But Suzelle’s return to the YouTube spotlight is something special.

Welcome back, Suzelle. We didn’t even know how much we needed this.
