18-year-old Muay Thai fighter Charlie-Hawk Vos is chasing his dream of international glory while helping his mother run a safe house for abused and abandoned children. Now, he needs your help to get to his next fight.

Cape Town, South Africa (30 June 2025) – In a home that’s become a haven for children in need, 18-year-old Charlie-Hawk Vos is both a big brother and a quiet hero. While his mother, Amy, runs the Nehemiah Safe House in Cape Town, fostering seven children who have known abuse, abandonment, or neglect, Charlie-Hawk steps in to guide, love, and support them. His strength doesn’t end there. It extends to the ring, where this determined young athlete is fighting to make his Muay Thai dreams come true.

Charlie-Hawk began training just three years ago. In that time, he’s already racked up three wins and only one loss. His journey hasn’t been easy: a serious injury kept him out of the ring for eight months. But with resilience and determination, he fought his way back, never giving up on his dream of becoming a Muay Thai champion.

His next big fight is in July, a stepping stone on his path toward qualifying for the 2026 Muay Thai World Championships and ultimately heading to Thailand to train professionally. However, getting there requires more than just heart; it takes resources. His family worked to raise R10,000 last year to cover travel, accommodation, meals, and other costs so he can fight his way forward. However, his injury occurred, so he shifted his focus to recovery. Now, the dream is back in the light and ready to be achieved once again.

Charlie-Hawk’s dream is bigger than himself. He wants to prove to the children he helps care for that no circumstance defines you, and that strength, discipline, and love can break cycles and build futures. He trains at Thaiholics Gym Cape Town under the guidance of some of the country’s best coaches, pushing himself with every session to improve and grow.

Dynamic Therapy already backs Charlie-Hawk, keeping his body fight-ready with ongoing physiotherapy, but he needs more support. The family is seeking sponsors, businesses, and individuals willing to walk alongside this young warrior on his journey.

If you’d like to help Charlie-Hawk reach his next fight and get one step closer to his dream, visit BackaBuddy to contribute. No amount is too small, and every rand will help fuel a dream rooted in selflessness, resilience, and a desire to inspire others.

In Charlie-Hawk’s world, fighting isn’t just about winning titles. It’s about showing up for others, even when life throws its hardest punches. Let’s show up for him, too.
