Lovemore Robson, a dedicated community hero, continues his selfless mission of cleaning up the Fourways area. However, with donations running low, he’s reached out to those who recognise the value of all he does to support a cause greater than himself.

Fourways, South Africa (15 September 2025) – Lovemore Robson leads one of the friendliest and most dedicated cleanup groups in the Fourways area. Through Live Life Always NPO (Lovemore Foundation), it has become a consistent movement in the fight against carelessly discarded waste in the city.

However, despite his determination to continue the mission, the man who does so much for the community has fallen on hard times.

Recently, he’s received fewer paid sponsorships and opportunities to cut trees, grass, weeds, clear verges, and maintain spaces for money (which directly funds his Foundation’s efforts), posing challenges in compensating his volunteers and even affording his own rent.

“Donations and sponsorships from businesses help us keep afloat. During the rainy season, we had more opportunities to cut grass and make some money. But now things have slowed down. We are still picking up litter, but I have a team that I need to pay when the end of the month approaches. This is the only means to a livelihood that we have,” Lovemore tells Good Things Guy.

His challenges have been compounded by personal struggles at home, with Lovemore’s father having been diagnosed with cancer.

He’s launched a BackaBuddy crowdfunding campaign to help fund his crucial treatment.

Recently, Lovemore’s desperate pleas were met with an outpouring of love from the Fourways community when he shared about his trials and the mounting pressure of needing to pay his R4,000 rent by 7 October on Facebook.

People have responded not only with kind words but also with donations to help lighten a dark time.

“It is very touching to experience the kindness and recognition of people during difficult times. They see what I do for the community, and I really appreciate them. I’m hopeful that they will keep supporting me because my team and I will never tire out. Even when there is no money. We just find ourselves in a very difficult position right now,” Lovemore says.

To help Lovemore continue keeping Fourways clean and overcome this hard season, consider leaving a donation. You can email lovemorerobson7@gmail.com or visit his Live Life Always NPO Facebook page for more information.
