From a childhood marked by hardship to running a purpose-driven agency, Darren Morris’ story is one of grit, grace and growth.
Johannesburg, South Africa (29 October 2025) – The beauty of life is that even from broken beginnings, good things can grow… and Darren Morris is living proof of that.
This week on Good Things with Brent Lindeque, I had the absolute privilege of sitting down with Darren, CEO of Lucky Hustle, an agency that’s doing far more than creating clever campaigns; it’s changing lives.
Darren’s journey is raw, honest and deeply inspiring. He opened up about his broken childhood, a time marked by hardship and instability, but also about how good people and kindness along the way helped him rebuild, shaping him into the man and leader he is today.
“I decided to do good things with my life,” Darren shares. “Because I had to give back. I owed the world a lot because the world gave me a lot.”
From that foundation, Lucky Hustle was born, a creative agency rooted in purpose and heart, driven by the belief that doing good and doing well can absolutely coexist.
“I couldn’t come up with a name and thought about ‘Lucky’ and ‘Hustle’, two words that describe my life… 90% luck, 10% hustle. And that’s how it started.”
This episode is packed with emotion, laughter, and lessons about resilience, leadership and the magic that happens when you lead with empathy. It’s one of those conversations that stays with you… a reminder that good people, doing good things, really do change the world.
