Already a two-time national karting champion and World Championship competitor, Sebastian continues to inspire with his discipline, humility and growing impact on South Africa’s motorsport scene.

South Africa (12 December 2025) – South Africans share a deep love for sport. This is woven into our identity. Whether it’s rugby or football, sport has always been a place where talent rises, and dreams begin.

One that’s been gaining traction is motorsport, and for 14-year-old Sebastian Venkov, that dream is starting to shift gears. At 14, he has achieved what so many racers dream of.

A two-time national karting champion and the 2025 Semi Pro winner in the INEX Legends Championship, Sebastian has already represented South Africa twice on the international stage at the Karting World Championships in Valencia, Spain.

His quiet confidence, sharp focus and a humility that stands out in an adrenaline-driven sport. Coaches describe him as a calm competitor with an intuitive feel for the track, a young driver who studies, adapts and grows with every lap.

Next year marks a major milestone in Sebastian’s career. He will be competing across three national championships. These include the VW Rookie Cup, INEX Legends and F400 Karting.

The VW Rookie Cup, which will be broadcast nationally, introduces him to a new level of public exposure and racing pressure. It’s a leap forward for any young driver, and for Sebastian, it’s another step toward the future he dreams of. And that’s competing in the Porsche Cup and eventually GT3 and endurance racing.

Across all three championships, he will drive with the same discipline he has shown since his karting days.

Behind the helmets and high-speed corners is a teenager who simply loves racing and who continues to push himself because driving is where he feels most alive.

If you would like to support Sebastian’s racing journey, you can find out how to contribute here.
