The quiet longing to celebrate the achievements of Sinakekele Children’s staff after completing a course became a beautiful reality when the kindness of generous supporters fully funded their graduation day!

Verulam, South Africa (02 September 2026) – Don’t you just love those magical, hard-to-explain moments when something someone deeply longed for, yet felt realistically impossible to attain, miraculously comes to pass almost out of nowhere?

One of those exact moments unfolded recently at Sinakekele Children. The charity desperately wanted to celebrate the achievements of their staff members who had completed a Safeguarding Course, but they simply lacked the means to make it happen.

Towards the latter part of last year, Sinakekele had the privilege of enrolling all of its staff members in a Safeguarding Course, which they all successfully completed earlier this year.

“We wanted to celebrate their achievement with a graduation ceremony, but unfortunately, we did not have sufficient funding to make it possible,” the organisation shared in a post.

However, God made a way!

When several individuals and organisations learned about the Sinakekele team’s latest achievement as part of their ongoing efforts to provide a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for vulnerable babies and children, they happily and generously stepped in to celebrate them. Together, they fully funded a graduation day, turning a quiet longing into a beautiful reality.

“Because of their generosity, our staff were able to celebrate their hard work and dedication in a truly special way. A heartfelt THANK YOU to: House of Graduates Durban North for sponsoring the hire of the graduation attire. CHÂTEAU GÂTEAUX for sponsoring the delicious dessert. National Hiring for sponsoring the beautiful red carpet, and Trisha Pulthee & Priscilla Kodi for preparing the most scrumptious meals for our staff.”

The generosity of all sponsors and supporters helped the children’s charity create a memorable day for a team that works tirelessly to care for, protect and invest in the lives of children.

At Sinakekele Children, safeguarding is more than a course. It is a commitment to creating a safe environment where every child is valued, protected and allowed to thrive. Congratulations to this amazing team!
