Woodrock Animal Rescue brought its adorable pups along for a Puppy Yoga session, and the result is an overload of cuddles, wagging tails and happy faces.
Centurion, South Africa (03 September 2026) – Forget the usual yoga class! This one comes with a whole lot of wagging tails.
Woodrock Animal Rescue recently brought its puppies along for a Puppy Yoga session, where people came to stretch, relax and, judging by the footage, spend a good chunk of the class being happily distracted by tiny four-legged visitors.
The video shows people getting up close and personal with the rescue pups. They played with attendees and generally did what puppies do best: cause adorable chaos.
And honestly, imagine trying to hold a yoga pose while a puppy decides that your mat is the perfect place to hang out.
The session was hosted with TheWell-nineyards, with support from Nine Yards, giving the Woodrock pups a chance to experience new people and surroundings while giving the humans plenty of puppy cuddles in return.
Woodrock says spending time with animals can help people feel calmer, reduce stress and anxiety, and simply take a moment to slow down and be present.
But judging from these clips, there was probably very little namaste and a whole lot of “come here, puppy!”
The rescue says Puppy Yoga is also a reminder that animal welfare and wellbeing can go hand in hand. With the dogs getting socialised and lots of love, while the humans get their own dose of puppy therapy.
So, if your idea of a perfect yoga class involves stretching in the sunshine with a puppy wandering over, this might just be your kind of workout.
