The Mrs Grand South Africa titleholder returned home after representing the country internationally and winning the Mrs Model of the Grand title.
Johannesburg, South Africa (04 September 2026) – From the international stage back to Soweto, Tsholo Peeters has returned home with plenty to celebrate.
After a remarkable year that saw her represent South Africa internationally, claim a global pageant title and receive recognition for her community work, Tsholo was welcomed home surrounded by family, supporters, partners and members of the community who have been part of her story.
And while the crown was certainly worth celebrating, the homecoming was about something much bigger.
Tsholo was crowned Mrs Grand South Africa before going on to represent the country at Mrs Grand International, where she added another achievement to her list by winning the Top Model title, Mrs Model of the Grand.
“This year has taught me that success isn’t defined by a journey without setbacks, it is defined by what you choose to do when those setbacks come,” says Tsholo. “There were moments that challenged me, but I kept coming back to my purpose: to transform, to empower and to give back.”
That purpose is at the heart of Activ8SA, the community movement Tsholo founded around three simple ideas: Transform. Empower. Give Back.
Through sport, fitness and movement, Activ8SA creates spaces where people can connect, heal and feel seen.
That work received some major recognition this year when Tsholo, under the Activ8SA banner, received the 2026 Perfect Her Game Award for Community Development from the City of Johannesburg Sports Department.
“This award belongs to every person who believed in Activ8SA our Activ8tas, our partners, our volunteers and everyone who showed up and helped carry this vision,” she says. “We set out to use movement to bring people together and create spaces where people feel seen. To have that work recognised is incredibly humbling.”
Her international success has given Tsholo an even bigger platform, but she says the reason behind the work has remained the same.
“A crown has meaning when you use the platform that comes with it to create something bigger than yourself.”
That made returning home especially emotional. The homecoming was also a chance for Tsholo to share a message with the women and young girls who are watching her journey, particularly those who may be going through difficult seasons of their own.
The story isn’t simply about a woman who left South Africa, competed on an international stage and came home with another title. It is also about someone using the opportunities that have come her way to create opportunities for others.
