Expect all the humour, awkwardness, competition and unpredictability that have made Come Dine With Me a hit in SA. Oh, and Brent’s on the show!

South Africa (10 September 2026) – Come Dine With Me returns to TV screens for its 11th season, and it’s a special one! For the first time ever, South African celebrities will compete for the title of ‘best host’ and a R10,000 prize for charity!

Across six weeks starting in November, a star-studded guest list of 24 competitors will open up their homes and put their hosting skills to the test in a bid to win bragging rights and contribute towards a worthy cause.

Each dinner party features one host and three fellow celebrity guests.

In true Come Dine With Me fashion, there will be loads of laughable moments, highly ambitious menus and the occasional disaster…All the good stuff that makes the BBC Lifestyle show a fan favourite.

The legendary voice behind the hit show returns, too! Narrator Dave Lamb’s razor-sharp wit, perfectly timed observations and ruthless takedowns will accompany viewers through all six episodes.

And… there’s one more thing! The Good Things Guy himself, Brent Lindeque, features on the show.

Brent is no stranger to cooking on TV. Nine years ago, he competed alongside his partner Andrew (hashtag team #BrenDrew) on the very first season of My Kitchen Rules South Africa.

They survived 13 weeks of cooking under pressure before leaving the competition just before the grand finale. And… they made history as the first team on the show to receive a 10 out of 10 from the judges, achieving the feat twice for their cheesecake and chocolate fondant.

This time, Brent goes solo, competing against his fellow dinner guests.

“What a bladdy honour to be a part of the first celebrity season of Come Dine With Me South Africa! I’m excited! And a little nervous…” says Brent. “I think it’s going to be epic – I’m looking forward to being a part of the show.”

Competing alongside Brent are local stars including Lasizwe, Carol Tshabalala, Moonchild Sanelly, Linda Mtoba, Moshe Ndiki and Holly Rey, among many others. But we don’t know who is hosting who… just yet!

Pierre Cloete, Vice President for Africa at BBC Studios, says Come Dine With Me South Africa remains one of BBC Lifestyle’s most-loved local productions and that this season promises to be the biggest yet!

“This celebrity series brings together an incredible mix of South African personalities and places them in a situation they can’t completely control. Audiences will see them at their funniest, most competitive and, in some cases, most chaotic. It’s packed with laughs, surprises and more than a few moments people will be talking about long after the credits roll.”

Celebrity Come Dine With Me South Africa premieres on BBC Lifestyle (DStv Channel 174) from 18 November 2026.
