Kitty's adventure

This Kitty’s adventure took him away from his loving family, thankfully a Facebook post reunited him with his family a month after he went missing.

Ossy was being rather adventurous when he climbed onto the back of a bakkie in his parents complex. While snooping around in the back of the bakkie, it drove off and left the complex with him still inside. It was all caught on CCTV which is how his owners knew where he had disappeared to.

The only problem was they didn’t know where he ended up. Not knowing where he ended up was heartbreaking. They searched high and low trying to find him but until now they had no leads.

Ossy ended up in a complex where he made himself at home. The complex residents found him to be a bit of a nuisance and called Friends of Rescue Animals (FORA) to come and collect him. Once at the sanctuary Ossy ate as much food as he could and was photographed to help find his owners.

His mom, Emma Lucille Stewart spotted the Facebook post and immediately recognised him.

“That’s our Ossy!!!! Couldn’t miss that mean mug of his from a mile away!! He got displaced in the back of a bakkie visiting our house in Parktown North which was headed to Honeydew area!! We have been searching and searching and finally we have found him!!! He is microchipped and we have all the papers to show this beautiful kitty has a family that loves him so very much and soooo happy we finally get to bring him back home!!!” – Emma Lucille Stewart

The cat lovers of the group couldn’t get enough of this kitty’s happy story and shared their congratulations on finding his way home again.

“This Happy Ending has made my Day! So So happy for everyone ❤” – Shazz Viljoen Nortje

“So happy I’m crying for you!! Please post a pic of him when you have him in your arms again.” – Jacqui Wright

People following the story requested reunion pictures and so Emma shared a few photo’s of grumpy faced Ossy. He could actually be South Africa’s very own ‘Grumpy Cat’. He is just too cute!

“He may not look it just if you could hear him purring you could tell how happy he is hehe” – Emma Lucille Stewart
