South African community are granting each others Christmas Wishes!

Daniella Holliday asked a simple question on her community group and now South Africans are having their Christmas Wishes come true!

Daniella Holliday asked the members of the Edenvale Hub community page what their Christmas Wishes were in the hopes that people would come together and make those wishes come true.

“What’s your Christmas wish maybe someone might grant it for you its a season of sharing”

People started sharing their wishes in the comment section and quickly they started being granted by fellow community members.

One woman wished that she could find a flat for her family that fit within her budget and a realtor reached out to offer her assistance. Another wished for WiFi, she already had everything set up but it just wasn’t working so people offered to help look into it and get it up and running.

Some people asked for groceries for the festive season, some toys for their children but one woman made a wish for another family and it had us in tears!

Celeste Zeilinga wished, “A family with special needs kiddies, they deserve the best Christmas ever”.

The community rallied and plans are being made, people have come forward and offered to cook gammon, make desserts, gift the family clothing and give the children presents. It is amazing how one simple wish could change a family’s entire Christmas.

The community has been lifting each other up and making a difference. It is inspiring to see how communities come together during the festive season.
