Pretoria, South Africa – This token of appreciation from the community and SAPS to Margaret Maela is a perfect example of what a successful Public Private Partnership can deliver! Traffic Free Flow Tshwane in association with Tshwane Metro Police Department, Tshwane Roads Agency and their major sponsor OUTsurance have been dubbed one of the most successful Public Private Partnership’s ever in South Africa

Margaret joined TFF Tshwane as an OUTsurance Points-woman in 2013. Her passionate, energetic, and positive approach to her job earned her the prestigious “Points-woman of the Year – 2017”. Additional achievements include her graduating from functional training with distinction. Before joining the company, Margaret was certified as a safety representative and attained a computer and business management certificate from Stanford College. Margaret is a single mother of a 14-year-old son, both residing in Bufferzone, Mamelodi East.
The intersection at Codonia & Ben Swart is a very busy, sometimes overwhelming crossing. That is the reason why Margaret has been appointed to stand there, to help move the traffic flow and keep everyone using the crossing, safe.
As a token of their appreciation for her help in keeping the traffic moving, Margaret received R500 in cash, R500 in Pick ‘n Pay voucher and other donations from the community in a surprise celebration.
They also took to their Facebook to share the news.

Margaret’s personal quest is to continually offer dignity to as many young school-going ladies as possible – by raising funds, purchasing and donating sanitary pads which are distributed through her church.
