‘One Small Act of Kindness’ is collecting donations and funds to make up 300 packs for homeless men this Christmas, gifting the gift of a little dignity.
Johannesburg, South Africa – Every week, One Small Act of Kindness heads out to feed 300 homeless men living on the streets of Johannesburg. This year they are hoping to bring a little Christmas joy and restore some dignity to these men.
They are building 300 hygiene packs for the men and filling them with all the essentials needed to keep clean and tidy. For many homeless men, hygiene items are a luxury, so being gifted a pack will help restore the dignity of many.
“Weekly we feed over 300 homeless men now and we are so so so excited to be able to share Christmas hampers with each of them.
We are looking for:
- 300 Toothbrushes
- 300 Tubes of toothpaste
- 300 Roll-ons
- 300 Toilet rolls
- 300 Caps
- 300 Bars of soaps
- 300 Face cloths or sponges
- 300 Packets of sweets”
They have already collected 300 gift bags. The charity is planning to hand out the packs during December. They are asking for people to help them with these items, by either buying the items or donating R100.00.
