The Wetnose Animal Rescue Centre has lived next door to the perfect place for years but they never had the money, now as if fate stepped in, it is finally theirs!
Bronkhorstspruit, South Africa – The Wetnose Animal Rescue Centre has worked with animals for years and finally got the kind of break that comes once in a lifetime!
They recently shared the happy news of an opportunity that crossed their path and lined up to make their dreams come true.
“The equestrian centre next door to Wet Nose had been for sale for years. Although it would be perfect for us, it was completely beyond our reach. The place had been unused for years, was badly overgrown and about 30 illegal immigrants had moved in, turning it into a rubbish dump. Broken windows, beer bottles, pilchard tins and old car engines were the order of the day. The place was a mess but had amazing potential.”
They put money away each month in the hopes of buying something someday and then it all changed. A man left them money and the owner of the equestrian centre dropped his price. All of a sudden, the Wetnose organisation had the means to actually put an offer on the property.
They were bidding for the property along with others and held their breath waiting to hear if their offer was accepted. The owner considered all offers, even the better ones, but chose the charity instead. He wanted the space to be used for good and by choosing Wetnose, he has done just that!
“We made an offer and despite other offers, the owner decided that it would best serve Wet Nose. He accepted.
So, now our horses have their very own little equine rescue centre…
The property has 30 indoor stables, various outdoor arenas and a huge indoor arena. It even has a little house so that our equine manager can be with the horses 24/7.
“But first … the cleanup and repair. We have already started and have fixed the stables and are well on our way. We will be posting regular updates so that you can share this journey with us. For now, celebrate with us and give thanks with us. We have been blessed out of our socks and were provided with exactly what we needed, exactly when we needed.”
