The airline, kulula, is helping the NSPCA reach more animals across South Africa by offering them free flights for the next 12 months.
The National Council of SPCAs (NSPCA) and kulula.com have joined forces to facilitate the transporting of the NSPCA’s Inspectors nationally to attend to the welfare needs of animals in need of the NSPCA’s intervention for the next 12 months.
This partnership began during the fires in Knysna and the Eastern Cape Fires. kulula began supporting the NSPCA disaster teams with flights to the affected areas. So many animals were left displaced by the fire, and some were severely injured. Thanks to the airline, the NSPCA disaster teams were able to reach the animals quicker and ease their suffering.
The airline decided to offer full coverage of transportation for one year to continue the efforts of the NSPCA. This generosity will give the organisation the option to spend their funding on more important things.
“We’re excited to partner with the NSPCA and assist them with flights so that they can continue the great work that they do in looking after the welfare of the many distressed animals within South Africa. As their partner, we would like to encourage our fans to take care of their furry friends, whilst increasing awareness around assisting the many other animals in need of care,” – Shaun Pozyn, Head of Marketing, Customer Experience and Loyalty.
“The NSPCA is grateful for this collaboration as it will save the organisation thousands of rands, allowing us to use the money elsewhere to uplift the welfare of animals throughout the country.” – Meg Wilson, Manager of the NSPCA’s Communications Unit
This matchup is our idea of perfection. At the end of the day, it is the animals in need that will benefit the most!
