tonic

There is nothing worse than pouring a delicious gin and tonic, salivating as the bubbles fizz above the glass, taking a sip and realising it’s flipping soda water…

We have done this a few more times than we care to admit but we know we are not alone… Rushing into the shops to pick out your braai goodies and grabbing a few bottles of tonic for that Saturday gin session with friends. Cracking the ice tray and pouring yourself a delicious gin and tonic BUT it isn’t tonic because Schwepps redesigned the label and the tonic and soda water look flipping identical.

That first sip is always shrouded with anger and disgust (unless soda is your preference, we mean no offence then). Annoyance floods you because you didn’t stop for a moment and actually read the label.

Well, Schwepps really dropped the ball on the redesign! Thankfully, they have heard all the complaints and have corrected their error. Yesterday they released a video apologising for all the kuk GnTs and have corrected the mistake with a new set of branding that will help us make the correct choice at the shops.

“#OhSchweppes, we’re so sorry that our mix-up ruined your mixing. For the record, we agree with you – our packaging blunder wasn’t our brightest moment. We’ll be better.”

They admitted their mistake in the funniest way though and the video has many people giggling. We are all only human so we forgive you.

Take a look at their funny apology below.

People are loving how they admitted their mistake.
