Thaini Masakane has started her business inside of a small room and is inspiring hundreds of people with her drive and determination for success.

Unemployment stats are at a scary high in South Africa but as a group of people, we are more resourceful than most. Small to medium-sized businesses are the backbone of our country and for most, if there are no opportunities, they go out and make opportunities.

Such is the case with Thaini Masakane. She has worked hard to become a beautician but found that once she was qualified, she couldn’t land a job. She knew she was wasting her skills by waiting and started her own small business in a “Zo-Zo”. The small tinned room doesn’t look like much from the outside but transforms into a tranquil spa on the inside.

Her humble little business, the Victory Body & Nail Studio, has become a big talking point on Social Media. People are loving her dedication to succeeding and starting her own small business.

“[I’m] not sure what touches me the most, the fact that you love and respect you job uze une uniform or that you did not sit back and wait to be hired, may God bless and give you strength so you can succeed and inspire others” – Bucie LadyBee Nkosi

I don’t know you but I’m super proud of you! Congratulations on your business and all the best! May you grow in leaps and bounds! Well done” – Flow P Modisane

One woman shared the post on her wall and was approached by a CCTV and security company that would like to help protect her new business.

I shared this post on my wall and someone is willing to install free CCTV and security detail for you. They will be in touch cos I told them to send you a private message. Well done and congratulations” – Pinky Smith

People have been incredibly supportive and have even thanked Thaini for setting a positive example for the girls in her township. We wish you all the best in your venture Thaini, thanks for inspiring the nation!
