Moses has always been content with very little, but his Cape Town neighbours decided he deserved absolutely everything!

Cape Town, South Africa (13 January 2026)
– For many living on the streets, every day is often defined by the weight of uncomfortable stares, prejudice, and judgment. But recently, a man named Moses was seen for more than what he lacked.

A friendly encounter with a yoga teacher popularly known as Jenna Benater opened his world to the kind of community compassion that has left our hearts warm and our hope renewed.

“He [Moses] lives on our streets and in the mountains around us,” shares Jenna in a recent post.

According to Jenna, Moses is a man of very few words and isn’t one to ask for much.

“He makes sounds and gestures, and it took time for him to trust me enough to share his name. Often when people approach him, he walks up into the mountain to avoid being seen.”

Despite her efforts to give him money, Moses would only accept a small amount and would ask for food instead.

Moved by Moses circumstances and quiet resilience to face and navigate each day with far little than most, Jenna reached out to her community to donate items like clothing and shoes.

The response was most touching. In a recently shared video, Jenna is seen surprising Moses with all the preloved items she’d received from those touched by his story. Moses was clearly taken aback by the gesture, bowing his head in appreciation for all he’d received.

Through Jenna’s donation based yoga classes in Cape Town, she was able to support Moses with food and essentials.

The video has been received with outpouring love for Jenna’s act of kindness.

“Thank you for making this possible. If you see Moses, say hello. If you can, offer food. If you have a little extra, share it,” encouraged Jenna.

This indeed, is what community looks like!
