Amphitheatre Drakensburg

The Amphitheatre Drakensberg Mountains look mysterious under the rolling the clouds. Kierran Allen captured the stunning moment on his drone.

Kierran Allen is a talented photographer from South Africa. He started his journey in photography at just 18, it was a hobby, he never imagined it would blossom into a fulfilling career.

“As I progressed through the years I knew that this is what I was meant to do, this was my purpose, my passion and something I will do for the rest of my life. Being a photographer is tough, there were times I had nothing, times I doubted my decisions and times I just wanted to give up.”

“But when I realised I had the opportunity to make my dreams a reality, that’s when things changed”

Kierran was on an adventure with his friends and he filmed it on his drone. They all went to hike in the Drakensberg so Kierran filmed the Amphitheatre. It was cloaked in clouds and looked beautifully mysterious.

The Amphitheatre is widely regarded as one of the most impressive cliff faces on earth, according to Wikipedia. The Tugela Falls, which are the second tallest falls in the world, are also situated at the top of the cliff.

Kierran share the video on his YouTube channel earlier this year. You can watch it below.

“South Africa really is such a beautiful country with so much to offer!”

“This is just a taste of the Drakensberg mountains, I’m glad to be able to live the life I do and enjoy things like this with true friends. That for me is what life is really about!”
