Have you seen this doggo’s mum or dad? The Animal Welfare Society SA is on the search for the owner of a furry, brave soul who was the victim of an awful car accident on Prince George Drive, Cape Town.
Cape Town, South Africa (29 May 2025) – Last Friday, a heartbreaking incident on Prince George Drive turned into a beacon of hope thanks to a quick-thinking Good Samaritan.
A beautiful and brave dog was brought into the care of the Animal Welfare Society (AWS) after being hit by a car on Prince George Drive.
It was the compassion of a member of the public who alerted the AWS of the incident, prompting the Inspectorate Department to respond quickly and rescue the poor, injured doggo.
“Upon arrival, X-rays revealed a severely fractured humerus,” a post by AWS said.
“She was immediately stabilised and is receiving treatment for the excruciating pain. Orthopaedic surgery will be required to pin the fracture and save her leg.”
The AWS team are now actively on the search for the owner of the brave dog, using their social media platforms to spread the word. It is hoped that they will soon find the owner and reunite them with the dog, who needs urgent medical assistance.
“If no one comes forward, we will be raising funds to cover the cost of her surgery and are committed to finding her a loving forever home.
“Strict adoption protocols will be followed to ensure she receives the care and love she deserves.”
The Animal Welfare Society is appealing to the general public to help spread the message and help find this furry girl’s family (or the loving, new one she might be waiting for).
