Stitch was born in a dog shelter and has never had an owner of her own; she is being fostered now in her late years, and the community have thrown her a party.
Bryanston, South Africa (26 August 2021) – Dog Bakery ‘Hound and Home’ have shared an incredibly heartwarming story about Stitch, a 12-year-old shelter dog.
The bakery shared that Stitch has never been adopted and has spent her whole life living at the shelter. Now that she is in her advanced years and needing a good retirement, she was taken in by a foster family.
Her new foster mom, Aurora, has given her a comfortable home and to celebrate her birthday, the Hound and Home team baked her a feast, and she got to have a few friends join in the celebrations for her 12th birthday.
“We thought Stitch deserved a Birthday celebration that not only celebrated her 12th Birthday, but that celebrated her entire life! So we made it happen!
Hound & Home baked up a little bit of EVERYTHING! Yes you heard that right! Stitch got 2 Cakes, 12 Cupcakes, 12 Carob Coated Donuts and Cookies. She couldn’t eat it all on her own, she we invited some of her besties along!
Pawtrait Pet Photography handled the set-up and the photography, and snapped these stunning photos!
Stitch, you deserved all the spoils and SO much more! Happy Belated Birthday sweet girl!”
