Leanne and Matthew Turner are taking their passion for wildlife to breathtaking heights – literally! Deeply moved by the plight of rhinos in South Africa, they’re preparing to skydive to raise awareness and funds for Project Rhino.
KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa (13 February 2025) – Leanne and Matthew Turner are taking their love for wildlife and adventure to a whole new level. In fact, they’ve taken the term: ‘the sky is the limit’, quite literally!
This incredible couple will be skydiving to raise awareness and funds for Project Rhino to help protect our rhinos from poaching and habitat loss.
After growing up in South Africa and having the privilege of seeing the magnificent wildlife, their hearts have been repeatedly broken by the constant struggle to preserve all these beautiful animals.
Devastatingly, our rhinos have become a target for highly organised poaching rings and crime syndicates.
Project Rhino serves as a key initiative, uniting organisations against poaching and habitat loss. The organisation focuses on anti-poaching, habitat preservation, and sustainable wildlife economies, all to safeguard rhinos.
“Matt and I would like to be a part of this project, albeit only a very small part in a big struggle, and to help protect these amazing creatures,” says Leanne.
Leanne and Matt have embarked on one of their most exhilarating adventures yet. In July last year, they launched a crowdfunding campaign, rallying the public to support their cause, and they will finally be taking the plunge this month!
“You can still support their mission by donating to their campaign—every contribution helps us continue the fight for our rhinos,” encourages Project Rhino.
