Durban Waves

Watch this epic drone footage of the Durban waves and surfers taking them to the shore. The footage is so relaxing, watching the waves roll in

We often share drone footage on the site, mostly it comes from places like Cape Town or Johannesburg. Even more so there are thousands of video’s featuring Cape Town and Safari destinations, hardly ever do we find something from our beloved KwaZulu Natal so when we stumbled on this relaxing video of a drone flying over the waves of Durban we had to share it.

The drone footage was captured by Cameron Blair, a licenced drone pilot and Cinematographer. Blair is a Durban local happy to showcase the beauty of Durban. Cameron is an up and coming South African surf YouTuber and film maker.

“Durban is home to the most promising surfers and consistent waves in the country. Regular swells and favourable wind directions are in abundance as well as a variety of reef, point and beach breaks”

“What Durban lacks in power it gains in the quality of its waves. Water temperautes are warm all year round and weather is generally hot and humid” – wannasurf.com
