Wildfire documentary photographer Justin Sullivan has created an awareness video to help hikers and other civilians survive wildfire flare-ups.

Cape Town, South Africa (07 February 2019) – Justin Sullivan, the incredible wildfire documentary photographer, has created an awareness video for hikers. He has “5 steps to follow if you find yourself in a dangerous situation” and it is really helpful.

Justin’s hope is to get people wildfire-ready, as it is now the season for them to flare up. There has been a massive increase in the number of fires, and while things may be calm, they could flare up at any moment, leaving hikers particularly exposed and in danger.

The tips are very important to follow and should always be kept in mind when heading out for a hike or even just walking your dogs on the mountainside.

Justin believes that fire is everyone’s fight, and therefore, we should be doing everything in our power to prevent them, assist the men and women who fight them, and come forward and report anyone who is responsible for them.

Watch the video below and remember everything just in case you find yourself in a dangerous situation.
