The Knysna Animal Welfare Society (KAWS) is reaching out to the kindest of hearts in their community to help with five sweet but shy kittens who have arrived at the shelter.

Knysna, South Africa (10 April 2025) – Some cat lovers just have a special knack for connecting with these special feline friends. They know just how to win their trust and enjoy delightful cuddles, all thanks to their warm and inviting presence!

It is these exact souls that the Knysna Animal Welfare Society (KAWS) needs with their current kitty dilemma!

The animal welfare charity recently admitted five little kittens who have proven to be rather shy and are finding it a little daunting to settle into their new surroundings.

In efforts to help these little ones adjust to their new environment and hopefully be ready for their forever homes, KAWS is looking for volunteers to help build their confidence.

“All you need to do is come sit with them, handle them gently and play with them. In return, their sweet mama cat will give you love and purrs,” KAWS appeals.

This heartwarming opportunity offers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of these vulnerable little ones, nurturing their confidence and preparing them for the happy day they find their forever families.

Visitors keen to help these kitties blossom are welcome any time between 9 am and 4 pm on weekdays, or 9 am and 11 am on Saturdays at KAWS. No appointment needed!
